Google releases Chrome security update (80.0.3987.116)

Chrome security update

Google has released Chrome 80.0.3987.116 for Windows, Mac and Linux. The update includes five security fixes.

An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to take control of impacted systems.

The Chrome security update also addresses three High severity vulnerabilities contributed by external security researchers:

  • CVE-2020-6383: Type confusion in V8
  • CVE-2020-6384: Use after free in WebAudio
  • CVE-2020-6386: Use after free in speech.

In addition, Google released Chrome 80 (80.0.3987.117) for Android earlier this week on February 18.
