Hackers discovered a bug in PayPal’s Google Pay integration to perform unauthorized transactions via PayPal accounts.
According to a ZDNet report, PayPal users started noticing late last week unauthorized transactions appear in their PayPal history. The origins were coming from their Google Pay account.
PayPal informed ZDNet that the bug in PayPal’s Google Pay integration was addressed over the weekend.
Victims also provided online testimonies and screenshot evidence of the nefarious transactions carried out to buy products at US stores, such as Target.
PayPal informed ZDNet they are further investigating the issue.
