Google releases Chrome 106 security update with fixes for 2 High severity vulnerabilities

Google has released Chrome 106 (106.0.5249.91) for Windows, Mac and Linux, with fixes for three vulnerabilities (two rated High severity).

An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to take control of impacted systems.

The latest Chrome 106 security update patched three vulnerabilities, to include the following High severity vulnerabilities contributed by external researchers:

  1. CVE-2022-3370: Use after free in Custom Elements.
  2. CVE-2022-3373: Out of bounds write in V8.

None of the vulnerabilities had known public exploits at the time of publication on September 30, 2022.

Moreover, Google also released Chrome Stable 106 (106.0.5249.92) for iOS on October 3, 2022.
